The Plant and Book Sale held in Queen’s Crescent Garden in July was a very enjoyable social event giving opportunity to catch up with members of the local community, often for the first time since before the pandemic hit us all.The only disappointment was that the last minute need to obey COVID self-isolation regulations sadly but unavoidably put paid to Penguin Pizza’s eagerly anticipated presence!

This time we are even more delighted to announce that local resident Ben Ambridge of Penguin Pizza has offered to come along to bake his fabulous pizzas in his mobile pizza oven. Ben has renewed his very generous offer, donating all profit to our fundraising cause!

As well as another opportunity to browse and buy some great books, socialise and eat pizza, we are offering you the chance to come and sell your own creations or unwanted possessions. Bring a table or suitcase to display your items, pay the £5 charge for the privilege and keep your takings!

IMPORTANT: Before you consider bringing along a batch of your best Home Brew or Elderflower Wine, we need to advise that no alcohol sales are permitted!

Table-top / suitcase sellers will be welcomed from 10:30 to set up before the sale commences at 11. Please note, there will be no vehicular access to the Garden for sellers, so you are invited to come by foot with table and / or suitcase, or be dropped off (better to use Queen’s Crescent entrance for this).

BOOKS – we shall once again be delighted to accept donations of books you no longer have room for, either from 10:30 on the morning of the sale, or, if you need to have these collected during the previous week, please contact so arrangements may be made.
