OUR COMMUNITIES: OUR FUTURE

A one day conference was held at the Exeter Community Centre, St Davids Hill, Exeter on Saturday 17 October 2015.

Both Exeter St James Forum and Trust are founder members of Exeter Community Forum, a city-wide organisation set up with the support of Exeter City and Devon County Councils. Its main aim is to create a community strategy for Exeter for the next five to ten years which will, among other things, inform how the neighbourhood portion of CIL* funding will be spent across the city.

* CIL = Community Infrastructure Levy, a charge placed on developers, 15% of which is allocated for neighbourhoods

Arising from this conference ECF is now inviting local people to have their say in helping to develop the Exeter Community Strategy and as part of this process a series of 5 local events is being held. One of these, focusing on St Davids, St James and Newtown, will be held at Exeter City Football Club on Thursday 12 November 2015 at 6.45pm. (See Home page for further details).
