Welcome to the third newsletter for members of Exeter St James Forum
TASK GROUPS AND WEBSITE LAUNCHED
The neighbourhood plan for St James has taken a big step forward. Members of the Forum have started the essential work of gathering the evidence from which we will form our views for the neighbourhood plan.
At the lively launch of the task groups on 20th September, more than 50 residents and representatives from the University, the police, Exeter City Council and Exeter Business & Trade Association formed four groups:
- Planning (policies)
- People (our community)
- Places – a large group split into 7 topics including a green space audit, trees and hedgerows, photo survey, and ecology
- Prosperity (economic development, local businesses)
Thanks to all those who are already helping with tasks. If you would like to join in or want to find out more about one or other task group, contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Task groups will be holding their own working meetings between now and early November. In mid November, we will be inviting all members, associates and residents interested in finding out more to another open community meeting.
The mid November meeting will be an opportunity to encourage new members to join the Forum, for a review of the findings of the task groups, and to start discussing what we want for St James – the vision for the neighbourhood plan. Details of the meeting date and venue to follow soon.
